A bit of a rant.
What's the point of having a local partner / dealer when the only benefit you get is that you pay in R's via bank eft but at the end the product costs you significantly more to buy locally?
Example:
HP Corse slip-on imported works out R15k (includes courier + VAT)
From the local "dealer" (who now has an exclusive agreement with HP Corse so they point you to this local agent and won't ship to SA) R17k
I'm assuming with the exclusive agreement the local agent would get some discount on the website price...which means if anything buying locally should more or less be the same, no?
