Good day to all.
I have a GSA - my second one, happy with the bike - 100% happy, bar one point - Bike is a little bit to "tall" for me. I want that little bit of extra confidence you get when you can put your feet almost flat on the floor, not on tip toe.
I have thought of getting a cut down seat - but then I worry that my seat hip ratio will change - my ass will be closer to my feet, this will change the angles of your thighs etc - and for me, the present height between seat and foot pegs is 100% correct - and this I know having done about 45000ks on GSA's - this height is good for me. Present ratio of seat hight / foot peg height is very comfortable.
So, that now leaves me looking at lowering the actual suspension package.
2 things come into play here now - one is you are getting a new, and hopefully, better suspension system than the standard BMW gear, and two, the bike is now 50mm lower - and that is about what I am looking for.
Who has used a Wilbers kit to lower a GSA - are there any other kits like this on the market - Ohlins???
Does the Wilbers kit only lower the bike or does it improve the ride as well?
Is the sump lower to the ground?? or is the rear wheel arch lower to the back tire?? - something must get lowered here - What???
Ok, thanks in advance for any replies, appreciate the assistance.
Cheers.
