My son and I also had a nice lunch at Padlangs in December when we rode into Baviaans (just up to Vlakplaas) from Jeffreys...it was his first trip on his NXR125 to real offroad 
I must do the Elandsrivier trip when we are there in December! I did it years ago (1998?) on my F650 Strada from the Uitenhage side on my way to Hankey (no GPS or map) and luckily decided to take the left towards the sea at a fork. Later realised the other way leads down to the Grootrivier (?) and Stutterheim. We did ride that way a few years later.
