Any idea's here chaps - this blimmen pipe is killing me...........
The 2009 GSA I had was schweet and quiet........ lekker for long rides and could easily be done without earplugs..........
but my 2012 DOHC is just too loud........... ok for scooting around town and make no mistake - she sounds really cool.......... but I'd prefer
something that would allow my wife and I to ride and tour without having to constantly fit earplugs.........
(and if I want to have noise... I'll ride the XT550 with it's straight through pipe > - no wife involved!)
I see on the UKGSer site that there's also a similar discussion at the moment........... apparently there's a "DB-Killer' (basically a baffle) on the market there that drops the sound level by up to 10dB and at around R200 each......... that seems to be an option - but before I order - is anything else available here in SA that's not ripping the bank........... and no I don't want to change the standard pipe ....
something like below....?
