A friend of mine got this idea into his head to do a quick haul through Lesotho over the long weekend in June.  Yes, June.  Middle of winter

I said TO HELL WITH YOU, I'm not doing it on a bike, so he says - no you dumbass, in the cages.

So, a plan was born, and final arrangements are being made.

We leave Thursday the 12th of June, to arrive as close to Sani as possible (probably Himeville).
- Leave Himeville early, ascend Sani Pass, ...
- ...
- ...
Arrive back in Pretoria on the 16th of June.

So, my questions:
  • There is NO accommodation available at Sani Top anymore, what other options are there further into Lesotho?
Senqu or Mokhotlong hotel in mokhotlong perhaps?
  • What should we expect the road condition to be to Katse, and more or less how long would the trip from Mokhotlong to Katse via Thaba Tseka take us?  We will be 3 vehicles, all 4x4.
  • Is it reasonable to aim to make Clarens (for example) on the afternoon after leaving Katse in the morning?

OK, that's it for now  ;D
