OK.  For those that missed the sand riding last Saturday, I'll  be back there this Saturday (29/12/07).  I'll be on the N7 at the meeting point around 7:45 to ride at 8:00.  This will be your last opportunity to to fall this year.  >:D

The sand comes in a variety of softness.  There is some novice sand, intermediate sand, advanced sand and pro sand.  In the Quarry all the obstacles have escape routes and could be bypassed if needed.  This venue gives excellent terrain to practice skills.  All the tracks run in loops and always come back to a central meeting spot - this allow some riders to rest at times while other still ride.

The terrain is fairly open and one could see other traffic long before you run into each other.  There are no bees at this site and the bushes soft.

You need to bring WATER (approx 3L) and fuel - full tank, the bikes work hard and also get thirsty.  Some basic protective clothing - boots, knee brace/guards, kidney belt, body armor, elbow guards, neck brace, helmet and gloves - nothing to elaborate....  And a good sense of adventure.
