Whether or not I can actually make the bash at all is still up in the air, but I believe luck favours the prepared, so I've planned a route. It'll be my first bash, and frankly I'd rather spend just one night at the bash and use the long weekend to have a good, long ride...also my first.
So, Friday night Himeville backpackers, Saturday morning up & down Sani, Saturday night at the Bash, Sunday night at Golden Gate.
1800km in four days, 1100km of which is awesome scenic riding.
I'll be taking it very easy, sticking to speed limits and taking lots of pics. If you want to join me, you're welcome.
There were thoughts of going up Sani, then across Lesotho to the Bash, but I'm not equipped for that. Not yet.
Any suggestions for some great roads or better places to stay the night?
