Wow, what a great story to tell. Ouch, now where have I heard that line before?????

I must say that as a NewB I am weighing up between Cederberg and Die Hel for my first overnight ride.

With your RR I am leaning towards Hel, for now.

So glad you were able to show that turn what you are made of.

Zanie this is the first ride report of you that I am reading.

Well written, almost a professional report that took us along on your journey, with humour, even on the tough parts, well done you and Ilse, RESPECT.

So many photos and the two videos, one of the best RR in a long time.

Many happy km's for the four of you......

Very nice RR  :thumleft: thoroughly enjoyed it

Great RR Zanie, my vrou sal ook inspirasie neem en jou talente haar aanspoor.
Kilometers in die saal maak n groot verskil. Dankie

What a truly AWESOME RR  :thumleft: :thumleft: :thumleft: :thumleft:

Thank you kindly for taking the time to put it all together & share this great experience with us. ;)

I've only had the privilege of doing "Die Hel" trip once & most definitely wanna do it again whenever time affords me that opportunity .

Awesome ride and well documented  :thumleft:

Thanks for sharing  :thumleft:

Thanks all for the kind words!

I really enjoyed reading this. Gonna show it to my wife for some inspiration in her journey towards getting a bike.

The more ladies the merrier! It's also definitely more fun if each of you has their own bike: for you - more manoeuvrability due to lack of pillion; for her - much more interesting than being a passive passenger. Just remember to start slow. With names like safetysteve and NoRush, I think they'll be in good hands.

Any one of the two would be special. Die Hel would be trickier (water crossings, sharp corners, etc.), but it is still completely manageable if taken at a chilled pace. I'd say go for it! The views are fabulous.

that is what rides are about photo,s photo,s and more photo,s
