Hi guys
Thought I would introduce myself and share my GS meeting...
I am still new on the biking scene and upgraded to the GS from an early model Vstrom 1000 I had. I was looking at the 800XC triumph and the F800GS but after some spirited driving on the Vstrom I decided to go for the 1200GS. (plus I ride pillion)
I decided on the 1200, found one in the small ads section and booked a flight to Durban to fetch it, all in one day I am not usually that impulsive...
Picked up the bike in Durban, packed it for a clarens run with my brother and made a weekend out of it. Was brilliant fun!
Immediately the bike felt very much 'easier' to ride, manouverable over the Vstrom. Performance wise I was dissapointed. i was expecting more in comparisson with the Vstrom but I am keeping in mind that the smooth nature of the GS can be deceptive. (we will test it soon though ;D )
So all in all, I am a happy new GS owner. Hallo everyone, I hope I can learn a lot here while also being of some value on the forum.
Regards
