Yesterday I bought my new BMW Enduro helmet after a few weeks of hounding BMW, there is a shortage of stock.
I went for a ride today and these are my pro?s and con?s when comparing the BMW helmet to my Arai Tour X.
BMW helmet:
Quieter
Lighter
Visor has 6 positions as opposed to the Arai?s 3
Visor is very quick to change
BMW helmet is around R1000-00 cheaper, depending on what discount you get.
BMW tinted visor is around R300-00 cheaper.
The peak does not ?flutter? as much at high speed, 160kph+
The peak is adjustable up and down.
The visor is treated with an anti-misting substance on the inside.

Arai helmet:
Readily available.
Bigger variety of colour schemes.
Better ventilation.
3 visor options, clear, light tint and dark tint.
Easier to fit speakers and microphone.
The Arai was immediately comfortable, the BMW helmet needs a bit of ?running in?.

For those BMW phobics that want the BMW helmet, there is a discreet easily removable badge on the back, and another one sewn into the liner at the back of the helmet, unless you have eyes in the back of your head this will not bother you.
