Natal Dual Sport Festival - setting the routes

Alfie Cox KTM together with Ride KTM Durban are hosting the Natal Dual Sport festival to be held at Sierra Ranch outside Mooi River from 30 May to June 2nd 2024.

I spent the day yesterday riding with Alfie and Steve Eayrs the DP from Ride KTM in Durban checking out potential routes for the event.

After a hearty breakfast we hit the trails towards the Tugela Valley, temperatures still mild, but the thermometer would climb to the early 40's later in the day.

I was cheating on my 500, the others were all on 890's.

And before long we were in the magnificent Tugela Valley

Just when the sun was at its fiercest we arrived at Zingela Lodge, the planned lunch stop on day 1 of the event, where we had a cooling dip in the river and an ice cold beer followed by a great lunch.

The heat had got too much for Steve and Vern, so they gapped it straight back to Ballito, leaving Alfie and me to check out the afternoon route over the mountain. Alfie wasn't keen to hang around in the heat, so no Photo stops on this section. Arrived back at Sierra Ranch just after 3.30, pretty knackered after an awesome day's riding.
