Globescout is a specialist European manufacturer who prepare bikes for the Dakar rally. We have been fortunate to persuade them to make cut-out panniers(to accommodate the exhaust) specially for the GS 1200 and Adventure.
In the age of mass production it is not often that one finds such handmade craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Some of the features of these panniers:
1. All hardware e.g. locks , top box support, pannier frames are made from stainless steel
2. Pannier lids can be opened from either side(double hinged) or completely removed.
3. For additional security(over and above the fitted locks) provision is made for an additional padlock if required
3. There is no plastic in any of the mounting hardware
4. Corner pieces are replaceable and do not effect the structural integrity of the unit
5. These panniers are SOLID and are arguably the strongest on the market
A pannier set comprises:
1x 35L pannier and 1x 45L pannier with cut out for exhaust
All locks and mounting hardware included.
GS 1200 Adventure R10 500 Vat inclusive.
This set fits directly to the standard racks on a GS 1200 Adventure or onto Touratech racks.
GS 1200 R13 800 and includes stainless steel pannier racks, all locks and mounting hardware
A top box set comprises:
1x 40L top box and mounting hardware and locks for either a GS 1200 or GS 1200 Adventure.
R 5 500 Vat inclusive
Additional support is provided for the GS 1200 as this is a known weak point on this model
Optional items:
6. Luggage Net (connects under the lid) for documents R250
7. Carry handle which doubles as a tie down point on top of the pannier for e.g tents, sleeping bags R 250 each
8. Padded backrest for top box R450
9. Inner bags open from the top or as a briefcase i.e two zips for optimum access R400 each
