For folk that know us we test products thoroughly before introducing them.
For the last few months we have been testing various LED spot light options with the following model excelling by a long margin.
This unit is exceptional given its small form factor and outperformed other test units which were far bigger and had in some instances had 4x as many LEDS (and on paper should have been twice as bright). So much for claimed specs!
There is no substitute for real world testing
Consuming a meagre 10 watts per unit they produce an outstanding 900 lumens of pure white light . This is equivalent to a 100W halogen unit!
All this achieved by using only the highest quality components including industry leading Cree LED’s and a prism cut lens structure manufactured from virtually indestructible PMMA(acrylic glass).
Furthermore these units have been designed specifically for motorcycle use and remain one of the smallest and compact units currently available. Easy to mount they remain out of harms way given their small form factor.
Features:
• Rugged aluminum housing for optimal durability and heat dissipation.
• High power Cree Led with a light output of 900 Lumens
• Consumes only 10W of power, the lowest of any unit
• All mounting hardware is stainless steel
• Reverse voltage protected
• Thermal protected
• Virtually indestructible PMMA lens & a light transmittance of greater than 93%
• IP 68 rating, impenetrable to dust and can be submersed in water up to 1.1m
for 24 hours.
• Plug and play with full wiring harness and handlebar switch.
• Top quality Deutsch socket connectors
• Extremely compact fitting into the palm of your hand (76mm x 71mm) and
weighs 320g
• Service life of 50 000 hours with no filaments for total peace of mind.
R1850 Vat inclusive + delivery fee(courier or postal)
There are most certainly cheaper LED alternatives however they cost less as a result of their components, performance and will be a disappointment, assuming that they can withstand the rigors of motorcycle use.
