My wife and I recently bought two old Honda 250xls.  We are moving to Riebeek West next month and will put the bikes to good use on the back / farm roads in the area.  Aslo exploring the realm of adventure touring (two up) and would love to tackle home to Swakopmund.  Keen to know if there is a bike other than the BMW 1200 GS or GSA that will do the trick.
