Hi All
Just the courtesy of an introduction. I have been riding a number of years now but aside a few sedate sojourns down decent gravel, I have avoided the rougher stuff primarily because I have only really had road bikes. As a lover of nature, remote locations, the road less traveled and camping, until now always pursued by 4x4, getting an adventure bike is the logical progression to my other passion, riding.
So, my clean 2011 XT660Z arrives on Monday. Certainly not everyone's choice but my understanding is that it offers a good balance of simplicity, reasonable comfort and decent range, to a tall rider, at reasonable cost.
And so my journey begins.. I look forward to learning from everyone.
