new to South Africa

Hi, I just moved to Cape Town to work, I'll be staying in South Africa for at least 2 years, possibly more.  My experience riding consist of 2 years on a Honda Shadow Aero 750cc while I lived in California and 4 years on a moped when I lived in the Netherlands.  I'm soon (~1 week from now probably) gonna be the owner of a BMW F800GS and I'm looking forward to do some touring / adventure here in South Africa.  I have no experience offroad yet, but I'm gonna do what it takes to feel comfortable off-tarmac.  Going slowly at first, getting used to the bike, then joining group rides on the weekends to get more experience.  I'm also considering taking proper training courses if I feel the need.  Looking forward to ride with you guys!
