Hi guys,
Im new to the adventure bike scene. Having just acquired myself a GS650 Dakar. Was a toss up between that and a 660 Tenere, but I have always had a sweet spot for the Dakar, and was hoping to get a new Sertão till BMW discontinued them. After test riding a few Dakar, sertões and Teneres, I knew it had to be the Beemer.
I plan on doing some serious long range backroom trips, starting with a tide through Nam to Swakopmund in December. So I will need to sort out fuel storage.
More importantly, the bike I bought used to belong to a rather short lady, and has had a suspension lowering done. I need to get it back to standard height, but none of the shops I have tried around Pretoria have stock of standard height linkages for the rear shock. Only lowering kits. Surely someone must have an original lying around after fitting a lowering kit.
