Chatted to the owner, Marius van Schalkwyk last week and he and surrounding farmers are at breaking point over bikers crossing their farms and flattening fences.
The farms are PRIVATE PROPERTY!!!
John Nelson the land owner off the Port Nolloth Road is apparently ready to shoot at bikes. I've met the man. A nice guy but not someone you'd like yo cross.
If you'd like to cross between Spektakel Pass and Port Nolloth/ Richtersveld please just call Marius and he'll gladly open the gates as well as liaise with the neighbors. He's very understanding and an ex biker.
The upper section of the Buffelsrivier 4x4 is private property with a locked gate. As is the road between Nababeep and Nigramoep.
Nigramoep Farm also has chalet accommodation and a perfect stopover for your Orange River / Richtersveld trips.
