Thanks for putting together the ride Andy! Was great to meet some WD's I have not ridden with before, and great to see the 'ou honne'.

The ride was a above the 'noob' level, thanks to the rain, but all handled it very well!  :thumleft:

I will post the video footage a soon as I have edited it!

I rode through from Misverstand yesterday and was on the look out for you guys but never spotted you. Looks like you all had a blast. :3some:............Oh! if anyone needs to get a hold of Piston Pete, use the land line his cell phone is not working for some or other reason >:D >:D >:D

That was the most fun I had in a while!

Thanks Andy for organizing and leading and also to Crossed-up, who was sweeper for the day.

To everyone who attended, great riding with all of you.

What an awesome ride!

Thank you Andy and all the other dogs for a lovely day.  Jeez was ons nou van den modder!

And to Snafu ....... riding around on your bike was lots of fun!
Dit was 'n lekker treat, baie dankie.

Was a great ride. Wish I had a helmet mounted camera to capture all the close calls in the mud. Not easy handling a 200kg + bike in the mud :eek7:
Thanks to all the organizers of this great event.

Here is my share of pics. While you all went to Koringberg for a lekker lunch and beer I had to fix my first puncture on my bike ever on my own. Luckily I had all the tools with me. Took me two and a half hours to replace the tube. Once in I pinched a hole in it with the tyre lever, had to start all over again  :BangHead: Luckily I had the good ol faithful patch and solution.

Also check the tyre for the culprits I have found a huge u bent nail in the tyre!

Freakit, I have feared this exercise for a long time now. All I can say is ne patient stay calm and do it step by step! Next time I will do it in 30 mins ;)

Kapaas, jou bike was vir my die mooiste van al die bikes daar.  En dan die ou 600 Kawa.

Sal nice wees om volgende keer nog meer van die ouer bikes daar te sien.

Thanks Dusty Rusty.
I just have a soft spot for Tenere's especially the old ones. Classic
On what bike were you, sorry for the ignorance

Not to worry

I was the pillion on the blue Yamaha XT 660 R  :ricky:

Hopenlik begin ons my bike die naweek weer op te bou  'n '82 XR 200 R

Thanks Andy. Unfortunately I had to turn around due to a lack of "perseverance" and the fear of dropping my baby. This combination, lack of skill, not knowing my own limits and maybe not the right tires had me at 45 degree angles most of the way. Thanks ROVRat for riding out with me.

I think it was the right call, mate - got seriously muddy with some deep deep water crossing and with a heavy bike, knobblies would be nice

anyway - guys, thanks for an amzing ride -been a long while since I had that much fun.

ja ja - the XR400 made things easier but fokkit, I love that bike and that route

lets go again  :ricky:

Thank you to Crossed-Up and Andy for the great ride, organisation and everything that made this ride so pleasurable.... and to Powerflow Justin who helped a few downed bikes and even broke half a tree down that was getting in the way of a water crossing (wish I had a camera for the cool ass-plant)... and to everyone else who came along.

What a way to spend a Sunday!

Indeed: thanks to Andy, John and all Dogs and prospective Dogs. Apologies to the tree....
