But wait - that's not all!

Notes:  The Soutpan to Dassieskloof goes through the Vryheid farmyard.  Stop and ask permission to use his farm roads - he's a really nice guy.  The original public road seems to have fallen into disuse and is no longer viable.
Bethels Klip is roughly waypointed on the Otiep to Spoegrivier route.  It would be wise to stop and ask in Klipfontein if you want to camp there.
I have manually drawn tracks in various routes.  These are approximately right.  The Nonaams route is the sketchiest, shortest and one of the best.

THx crossed-up, but with my GPS skills I will need a beer or 5 to understand this  :imaposer:

Thanks Crossed-up for this report - it's the one from the National Bash that I've been patiently waiting for.

Unfortunately time and money were against me for this bash - hopefully next time things will work out better.

Nothing complicated - but I can work it up into roadbook  :deal: format if you prefer some practice.  :imaposer:

Beautiful RR Crossed-Up , thanks  :thumleft:

Love all those interesting names of the places that you went past , Hol Rivier,  Stofkraal, Rooisandkop, Leliefontein, Spoegrivier and best of all , Besondermeid  :D  :3some:

The photos show the desolation although I assume you would have to be there to really appreciate it . I am sure you guys will remember this trip for a long time  :thumleft: :thumleft: :thumleft:

Wow, that was a great RR! :thumleft: Thanks so much for posting!

That part of the world surely is riding heaven.

Its great to see that there are still many untraveled tracks out that way too.
