I must be getting old ....................... I've never bothered with this crap before.
But, having spent many a week in hospitals due to lack of talent, my brain has wisened up a bit.
I'm flying in to SA to do off-road trip in Namibia, with Specialised Adventures, and want some decent medical cover, should I get shipped back to Windhoek, or JHB, to get a broken bone fixed, or suffer some other flesh-related damage.
The trip covers medevac back to SA but I don't wanna end up in Baragwanath. I've got that T-shirt already.
I won't have SA medical aid and all travel insurance policies I've looked at, specifically exclude off-road motorcycling. Of course, being northern Namibia, it could be argued that there's no such thing as off-road, but that's a fight I'll want to avoid when wounded.
Anyone in the business who can help? I'm in negotiations with a couple insurers that Hardy put me on to, but they also exclude off-road motorbikes.
This is not a trip-stopping event but I'd like the peace-of-mind to know I'm covered should it go pear-shaped.
