For info
The "Geel Sog " oil warning light flickered a few times with the ignition turned on. Engine not running. Then no light at all?
Started with checking out the lamp, what a mission! and lamp is still OK. Get the meter out, it tells me there is 12V. Start the engine and the 12V fals away.So the oil pressure is there and activating the switch?
Now knowing DC itcan will lead you astray down many a wire.
Next step , get on to the site and search a while and low and behold found the wiring diagram .
As the digital meter is a lair, make up a test lamp.
First had to check the supply from fuse to lamp holder and it test OK.
Being lazy I only now start crawling around on all fours to find the pressure switch in its cavity in front of the starter.
Apply the test lamp as a bypass (bridge) and the lamp is on.
Again back to the site, and find the alternative part number for the switch.
Now my only challenge is getting in to town to buy a new switch.
