I'm moving back to cape town and need to sell my other little 2 stroke scoot as i will not have space for her in cape town. I wanted to restore her but never got time to do it. I bought her in 2010 from an ou toppie who collected bikes, he passed away and his son sold it to me. She was standing for a couple of years so i spent about 2k to redo the carb, new tires, had some work done on the throttle etc. She carried me to varsity and back for two years with no problems. Very quick and nippy- she kicks some of these 100cc scooters arse.
I had her serviced at a guy in Joburg who worked for Yamaha racing in the UK, he said these bikes are rare and can fetch a handsome price if restored - i dont know about that, but thats what he said. According to him she is a 1975-1980 model - somewhere between those years.
Im looking for 4k. Lekker bike to learn to ride on - my girlfriend learnt on her. I really love this bike - as you can see she is exhibited in my house.
I bought her without papers and still have no papers for her unfortunately. I have the previous onwers contact details if you want to find out about the bike.
Issues:
Spokes need some attenion - surface rust - nothing serious
Rear light bracket has some surface rust aswell
