Have also used the Omega - Less bulky and more comfortable. It is also different in design... It spreads the potential shoulder & backward forces across & down both shoulder blades (the Leatt direct the force down the center of your back). I don't know which is a better - safer - design, but I personally prefer the Omega. ;D

You soon get used to it... But (like the mother in law) being able to handle the down sides doesn't mean you have no other choice but to permanently live with her.
The Omega is slightly cheaper (around R2200). IMO is more comfortable & the design directs any would-be impact force across both shoulder blades - as apposed to down the spine (which is the case with the Leatt). But with the Omega being a recent new-comer, it does not have the great track record of Leatt.
