Bike
Honda XRV 750 Africa Twin
Its with a sad heart that I have to sell my baby. She has been my mistress on many wonderful adventures both alone and even on occasion selflessly shared the pillion seat with my wife.

All I can say is this is a awesome bike.  :'( :'( :'(Ok, now for the details.

2001 Honda Africa Twin XRV750.

Bike has been well maintained and she runs on Motul oil. Bike has 2 seats. 1, original and 1 extra padded one for longer trips. Upgraded USD front suspension with a oversized brake disc and braded hoses. You might think 1 disc is not enough, and i will beg to differ. The suspension setup has taken me through the Transkei and Northern cape on some hairy terrain and I have also been able to stop extremely fast in emergency situations. In my opinion it brakes better than the stock setup.

Passed many GS's snaking in sandy terrain, waiving and hooting with a pillion hanging on for dear life.....

The rear shock has been rebuilt and revalved and has a spacer for additional pre-load. The bike's suspension is extrmely forgiving, even fully loaded with a pillion.

I imported the Koso RX2 clock from rugged roads in the UK. This clock reads the bikes heart rate, really. It gives water temperature and also oil temperature. Unfortunately the sump plug for the oil sensor is aluminium and i stripped it. So it will need a new plug to read the oil temp, currently has a standard sump plug., and also imported the 2 aluminium covers on the side panels and also the custom engraved chain guard.. Bike has a center stand, and also an extended side stand with a larger foot for parking on wet terrain.

Bike has a Leo Vince pipe, comes with crashbars. Currently not fitted as it needs a small modification for the rally fairing. I also have a set of spot lights that fits to the crashbars, and they are wired with a separate fuse system.  Rally fairing up front, tank and side covers have been prepped for paint. I was going to go for my army green colours the same as the bagster tank cover. But now that its up for sale it will be up to the new owner to dress her. I have an additional bagster tank cover and the original bagster tank bag. Spare front tyre, Givi Monokey luggage system, with 3 panniers.

The old front suspension parts were sold on the forum, and there is a writeup of how ad when I did the front suspension in the garage projects section of the site. The change was not due to a crash. it was what i wanted.

I have a spare standard rear shock and also a spare rear wheel. the rim is buggered, but the hub and sprocket is still good. I also have a spare front sprocket.

Thats about it. Bike runs great. 24 000km since the suspension and clock change. I dit the change on about 60 000km.

Hope she will make someone as happy as she made me.

Gees I am sad.

Priced to go @ R45 000
