I'm itching to take a ride down to Parys while the play bike is in for needed repairs. The plan so far is to leave from Hary's in Randfontein at 9.30 (it's too bloody cold earlier in the morning) and make my way on dirt, train tracks and tar (where there's no other choice) down to the barrage and follow the Vaal into Parys in time to have a burger and head back on the highway. A route I have wanted to try for a while. I need to be back in town by 2.00 so anyone else who wants to do the dome loop can go from there. I'm relaxed on how difficult the route will be.
