It is with a heavy heart that I have to post of Willem Cornelius (Dredd) passing away on Friday.
Of the older members will remember that his daughter was Hannah Cornelius, the girl that was murdered in Stellenbosch in 2017, to be followed by his wife’s passing in 2018.
In 2017 a huge WD presence passed in front of the church at his daughter’s funeral.
For those who are interested, there will be a small remembrance at The Seven Seas Officers Club in Simon’s Town.
Willem passed away at his home after he has been diagnosed with cancer in August and is leaving behind an autistic son, Dries.
