It appeared is if it had come out of nowhere, and I hit it, it was a glancing blow, but the damage was done. The tire deflated instantly, I was on my back, thinking when am I going to stop?!!  The big BMW GS slid out ahead, almost seeming to clear a safe path for me. My mind was racing, why had I not seen the rock earlier? Then I remembered the car. I had been behind it, it had masked the rock until the last moment, when I had pulled out to over take it. I lay in the left hand lane of the busy highway, me head was reeling. I started to move my legs, arms, fingers, and toes, every thing still worked! Nothing broken, good.  What about the traffic behind me, would they ride over me? I dragged my self around and looked into the on coming traffic, they had seen me go down, thank goodness, they where all slowing down, stopping. I tried to get up, stumbling to wards the crash barrier on my left. I looked back down the road, my baby was on her side, in the middle of the left hand lane. Some motorists had stopped. I was up, walking, stumbled down the road, towards the downed bike under which a dark pool was now forming! No, I thought, if its oil, it’s a bad sign. Luckily it was just fuel leaking from a broken fuel pipe! One of the guys that had stopped, asked me if I was all right, I mumbled incoherently under the visor of my helmet. They had picked the bike up and leaned her agents the barrier. I flipped the visor open, took the helmet off. “Are you OK?” “What happened?” “Do you need help?” They asked. I tried to put it all to gather. The fuel was running over the hot engine, sizzling as it evaporated. Not good. One of the guys had found a piece of string he tied it around the fuel hose, stopping the leak, the bike was OK for now. I allowed my self to relax. You’re OK I thought, you’ve fallen but you’re OK, every things still in one place, thank goodness. I dug my cell out tried to dial AutoAlpina, it dilled but I could not hear any thing. “Hello, hello”, I said. Nothing!!! My cell’s broken, I thought. I tried to phone BMW on call. Same thing, am I deaf?? No I wasn’t, I could hear the guys talking to me. “Sure you’re all right?” They said “Can you phone some one?” “Yes” I said “I’m OK”, “I’m phoning, thank you” I said. Then they where gone. I was alone, the traffic thundered by seemingly only millimeters from me. Why could I not hear any one on the phone?? The phone rang, Aaa it’s working I thought. “Hello” I said. “Hello” Nothing dead, what the hell??
Then it dawned on me. It’s still connected via the blue tooth to the head set in the helmet. I broke the link and dialed again. “Hello” I said “can you hear me?” “Yes she said” Relief some one out there could hear me!! I could get help.

Thanks to all the Guys that stopped to help me. Thanks to Danie for taking some of the pictures and helping to drag the bike into to the truck. Thanks to Mannie for responding so quickly. And thanks to the Guy that drove the truck, you’re a star.
