Like most great ideas, they're cunningly simple and so obvious one wonders why they weren't ever thought of before.
I really like this one. Imagine multiple "Cylinders" on the shaft.
Idles at 1000rpm and spins easily up to 25k. No cams, power stroke is 270 degrees of crank rotation!
