Hi, from a long-time lurker and avid follower of the wilddog forum.
I am planning a trip from Pretoria to Carnarvon - (I know - stated in subject :-[), but would like to know if anyone out there knows of some dirt road stretches to make the trip a bit more interesting?
My proposed route is, starting from Pretoria, going on to Potchefstroom, Klerksdorp, Christiana, Jan Kempdorp, R370 to Mount Rupert, Schmidtsdrift, Campbell, Griekwastad, R313 to Prieska and then on to the R386 from Prieska to Carnarvon.
The R370, R313 and R386 are all dirt roads, but I would like to know if there are any "alternative" routes that would more or less make the first part of the trip a bit more scenic?
