From Tacomoto's site: "The oil pump idler and driven gears on the 450/500 Austrian four stroke dirt bikes are plastic and warped gears and broken teeth have been the cause of motor failures for years."
I thought it's only the KTM's that have these, but I read that the Jap bikes do too, and if so, is it really worth upgrading the plastic gears to metal?
They are rather expensive to do, but if it will prevent a blown motor then yes, still, thats a lot of brannas..
