As much as I love my KLR, it's a dog on the highway, or to cover any significant distances in a short time.
So, I'm traveling to the bash on a black Triumph Sprint ST (avoiding dirt as far as I go), leaving Pretoria tomorrow morning at 10:00.
I will probably try and miss the toll roads too, so should be some interesting towns to go through. Not going to be in a rush to get there at all - as long as it's before nightfall.
Is anyone already doing something similar? Perhaps interested in joining?
