I was very fortunate to have acquired a cool classic from a fellow dog, LouisXander :thumleft:
The bike is about 90% complete and needs a ton of TLC. Parts are mostly available and relatively cheap on ebay, etc. The intention is to keep the bike as original as possible, and where i can, only replace where absolutely necessary. I am not keen on the paintwork design for the release of the bike year, so i have already decided on my own customised design. which will only be revealed at build time ;D
So the bike has been standing in the garage for a while now, gathering dust much the same as it did in Louis garden. Work has been a bit of a pain lately and consumes way too much of my time and so does the kid, so the only down time is late at night :
Beemerman put up a post a couple of days ago saying he was bored and needed a project. So i thought that i should start. I invited the man over for a beer, we looked at the bike and decided on a quick plan.
Last night i started...
As i got it from LouisXander
closeups and bits..
The stripping process begins...
and i ended up with this... so far.
I think this will be a fun project and hopefully not a money pit >
I have convinced the missus that the bike is for my boy
I will update the thread whenever some progress is made, perhaps once a week or so depending on how much time i get to work on it.
As a teaser, here is what i am trying to achieve :thumleft:
:ricky:
