My old X has pretty good high beams, HID supplemented by a small light bar, but the dipped beam is seriously weak round the edges, had very unhappy time traveling through tribal areas in the dark recently, can't see anything /anyone along the sides of the road. This despite it being a projection headlight fitting.

So I went to eBay and bought a pair of H7 LED bulbs to match the current halogen fitting. Advertised as 55w (same as the halogen) and 4600lm. R179 inc shipping. When they arrived a month later, was disappointed to get 36W 3800lm bulbs, but you can't return easily to china, I moaned, they gave me a R30 partial refund.

Tonight have installed the bulb (have 1 spare) and WOW, very happy with the difference! (sad I didn't get that 55W...)

The pics I attach are taken with exactly the same manual settings to try and limit the impression of more light (or less light) due to change in exposure
ISO 1600, F3.2, T 1/16th sec

So I'm pretty happy! Cheap improvement for anyone wanting to shop on eBay!

The last picture just my happy 11000+lumen night face!
