Hi Guys
When removing my 1100GS's exhaust, I discovered that there is no probe/sensor (Lamda sensor) that goes into the CAT! Is this normal for 1100's? Or is the sensor insatelled elsewhere? My bike is a 1994 model (the first model 1100) and was destined for the Japanese market. I have read a post on another site, of a dude that said his 1997 1100 did not have a lamda sensor either. Some opinions were that it depends on the country of destination's emission laws...?.
I intend to install a Y-piece and aftermarket exhaust. I am now wondering.....if there is no lamda sensor, do I still need to "de-code" (pulling the plug under the seat) to make the bike run richer?
Your advice will be highly appreciated.
