R20,000 for a shock WTF?

Got the shock ( ;D get it? ) of my life this morning. My 2010 1200GS went in for the recalls and no problem there but they phoned me to say that the one front shock is leaking oil (propably seal) and a replacement one is R20k as it is a sealed unit WTF Even the workshop manager was suprises at the price!
Now what? Advice please!  :-\

Colin at Offroad cycels refurbished my shock for R2k en I am happy this far.
