R80GS Brake upgrade

Hi Anyone,
Any good tips for a front brake upgrade on a 81 R80GS, the one with the caliper on the back of the fork? I dont have too much to spend. Is it easiest fitting a bigger caliper? or should i go for new disks the lot. I have all ready got a steel brake hose.
