This ride is to support 2 creche's in Site 5 ( Kommetjie ) , the Rainbow Centre and the Home of Love . About 40 kids in each , from age 0 to 6 years. The rooms leak and the babies are wet , cold and unhappy.
We will be collecting items to take with, and do a ride to take it to them ,meeting 8.45 am ( to leave by for 9 am ) on Saturday morning the 4th August at the SHELL garage on the M3 just past the Kirstenbosch turn -off ( mind the speed camera ) on the Left .
( Tour is coming all the way from Wellington and bringing trees to plant hence moving the time to leaving at 9am )
If it rains we will still go, some will go in cars . We can pool rides from the Shell garage .
Andy 660 has kindly offered to be the ride leader and SuperTen will sweep, thanks guys. :thumleft: We will be riding the M3 , over Ou Kaapse Weg through to Simon's Town , over Red Hill, stop have tea at the Red Hill Pottery at about 9.45 am ( https://www.redhillpotterycape.co.za ) and into Site 5 ,Kommetjie . Spend an hour or two with the kids , hand over the goods , plant some trees , fix the leaking roof , and then have a light lunch somewhere nearby ( Venue to be announced and ideas welcome :thumleft

If anyone has items , but can't make the ride , let me know and I can collect from you or you can drop at Abu who owns the Red Hill Pottery shop . For those of you who live in Kommetjie area feel free to meet us at about 9.45 am at the Red Hill Pottery for tea/ capuccinos and muffin ( R10 each payable there ) and then onto Site 5 from there.

Pillows,
Small chairs,
Small tables,
Clothes,
Nappies,
Toys ,
Stationary ,
Baby products like bum cream, wet wipes , formula,baby oil, soap, shampoo etc
Food , eg Oats and Miliepap, Jam , Peanut butter , nan 1 , 2 and such milks ,etc ( nothing that can spoil as they do not have fridges) ,and last but not least
perhaps some treats for the kids , sweets or fruit , to hand out on the day . :thumleft:
