I have been looking for a secure way to mount my phone for navigation for a while, my previous mount attempt ended up needing tape and cable ties to keep phone slipping out, phone kept twisting over bumps etc
Then recently I came across the RAM finger grip holder - couldn't find one locally, so bought from US over eBay, waited forever due to postal strikes, and finally got to test it last weekend.
It works. Wonderfully!
The whole phone screen is accessible, phone didn't shift at all in mount, mount didn't shift / sink at all during ride. And it was a pretty bumpy ride. So I'd recommend to anyone looking for a secure generic smart phone / gps / radio mount. Now if only some SA dealers would stock it...
