Bought her and shipped it to Cape Town - gave it a quick wash
I do'nt mess around, so I sent the tank and other red bits to Lionel at LC Customs for respraying. A week later this arrived
Whilst Lionel was doing his thing, I decided to tackle the carbs...
Aquablasting and ultrasonically cleaning yielded this..
Wheels were stripped and measured

As can be seen form the first photo, the seat was FUBAR, so a new Yambits seat was called for..

One of the best buys one can make on an old bike is a brand new wiring harness....saves a lot of frustration later on
Other activities happening at the moment:
1. Crank is being rebuilt by Tim Bosson
2. Rebore at TBR
3. fork stanchions are being hardchromed and reground at Eagle Hardchrome - they were badly pitted and rusted
4. Frame, swingarm, footrest, sidestand, headlight bowl and triple clamps are with Jaco at Area Powdercoating for blasting and coating.
5. i have stripped the generator/stator assembly but this FUBAR so another ebay order has gone in..
that's all for today folks - i will try and document the assembly a bit better :biggrin:
