Actually, I will be in Germany and the UK next week, anyway.

Any tips on the cheapest places to buy gear, Germany or UK?

For the BMW Savanna boots goto a BMW dealer. Maybe ring them beforehand. The reason they are selling for around �£100 is because it is a discontinued product. For 2006, the Sanitago is the equivalent.

I know SPC in Hampshire, and South London Motorcycles in Caterham has stock. SPC has them in their warehouse so you need to call in advance for them to check. South London has their sale stock in the showroom.

Also post a note on www.ukgser.com and ask! The guys there will give you some more help.
