Rode my 2011 990R on the weekend for the first time in a few weeks and immediately noticed a problem with my rear brake. At first I thought it wasn't working at all, but then realized that it still works if I push down far enough. I can still lock it on the tar, but the distance that the lever has to travel for the brake to start working is uncomfortable and the pressure required not normal.
I tried bleeding the system next to the road, but that didn't have an effect. What confuses me is that it stopped working overnight, doesn't feel spongy and is very consistent. That leads me to believe that it isn't air in the system nor mechanical (gradual) failure. But then I don't really pride myself on my mechanical expertise
