Here is an idea for someone to try. Would like to know if it works.
My heavy said he repaired the plastic tank of his XR600 and it is still holding.
He told me he heated the tank with an air heat gun till it went soft and then used a heat glue gun to add some of that plastic glue. The tank is not a thermoplastic so heating and plastic welding alone does not work. It does however allow the gluegun plastic to bind better with the tank plastic. The gluegun plastic remains flexible and does not go hard and brittle.
Anyone done this yet?
