A quick recap. Last October a pedestrian walked in front of me on the XR 650L and I suffered severe knee damage. Ligaments on both side of the knee torn, miniscus removed. Doc said that another blow on the knee will necessitate a knee replacement. I sold 4 of the 5 bikes, bought a small car and started commuting.
It is now 9 months later and the knee is often painful, but I cannot stand the commute.
So I am repairing the Pig, which has been standing since the 6 Jan 2014 accident.
First thing was to get the fuel distributor ordered. A few other things will be needed, 2 x indicators and the shock redone.
At this junction I would like your input. Should I upgrade the coil spring, I am 120kg. Does a spring change change the ride of tghe bike and what should I go for in rating?
