*Ride to London. Which bike?*

Was chatting wif a mate the other day about the best bike to ride this journey from a reliability/comfort/power/spares/carrying capacity/fuel consumption etc...point of view.

Which bike would you take? To be honest, I'd take my 1982 XL500R rather than my 950.
