For those who don't know yet, the Athlone Cooling Towers next to the N2 in Cape Town will
be demolished on Sunday 22 August at noon.
I have never seen anything of the like and don't want to miss it. Will get some footage to share
here with those who can't come to see. Went scouting for the perfect vantage point on Sunday.
It seems like this spot next to Jan Smuts Drive will be the best but I have a bad feeling they will
close this road as they will also close the N2.
My question then would be if anyone know where to go to watch this historic event? Rhodes Memorial
would be another option but that is quite far away. I would like to feel the earth tremble.
Crossed-up? This is your part of the valley. Any suggestions?
