this is a 2nd hand account of what happened to a biker in PE last Saturday evening about 21h00.
to all the PE dawgs, the incident happened on Luneville Road (Lorraine) about 300m from the BP station.
my neighbor was riding back home. in front of him was a bakkie and in front of the bakkie was guy on an old gsx1000.
suddenly my neighbor sees the bike start weaving a bit, then the poor guy veers onto the verge and drops the bike. fortunately the verge is grass.
so jimmy (my neighbor) turns around and goes to help the downed rider. the rider said something 'hit' him but he didn't know what. after examining his gear and his leg, it turns out he was shot at. the bullet made a neat hole in his protective trousers and made a nice big pockmark on his leg. jimmy assumes it might be a .22 i suppose a GP could remove the bullet?
they cannot tell what calibre the weapon was but it was clear to jimmy and the rider that he was definitely shot at with a gun, perhaps a .22 the injured rider managed to get going again and fortunately didn't have far to get home (lives in sherwood).
i live around the corner from the where this happened and ride that road a lot. shit, could have been me. watch out for luneville road PE riders, we have a sniper in PE.
