Riding pants

I have an Assault touring pant which I use if I hit the road. Its nice a warm, but its also stupidly heavy. After about 300km it starts to kling to you and annoys the living kark out of me. It does have a bit of padding and Armour here and there but im looking for something a little lighter.

Any suggestions?

I have a feeling somebody is going to mention Santiago pants....
