Okay so i rode the 2008 KLR this weekend...
If i compare it to my 2005 KLR i found the following:
High speed stability is great... thats if you can call 140km/h high speed :
Brakes are way better than my bike's brakes
Those Dunlop tyres are k*k compared to Anakees
Bike is way more quite than mine with the same exhaust
Wind protection is good, way better than 2005 model
Motor is really smooth, almost no vibrations... now i'm starting to think my bike's doo hickey is no more. I'll find out next weekend. :-\
Front suspension is better on the 2008
Side stand is great on the 2008
Hmmm now the question, is it worth my while to upgrade to the 2008 model?? In my IMHO i dont think so, but one day when the KLR is kaput the new model KLR will get my vote. Its a great bike.
