Route advice - Lady Grey to Mount Fletcher

Taking a solo trip, Pta->Dbn via Lady Grey.

From Lady Grey to Mount Fletcher I plan to cross Joubert's Pass, and then go via Rhodes, as per the pic. Any comments available re risk of riding this part solo, and general road conditions? Or perhaps alternative routes to consider?
